Heyyyy Everyone!
Currently I am functioning on around 7 hours of sleep and feel like I am about to fall asleep any minute, but it was totally worth it considering I had an awesome time at the Cotillion last night.

The Cotillion didn’t officially start until 7PM, but preparations started at 2PM yesterday. I had to get my hair done, paint my nails, and pack up all my stuff by 4PM. At 4PM my friend Katie picked me and another girl up and we got put on makeup, had dinner, and got ready at her house.
Then everyone’s Moms came over and lots of picture-taking ensued.

We couldn’t forget about the typical coming down the staircase picture either.

After a million other pictures we were on our way to the Cotillion. About 45 minutes later we arrived and the place was almost empty. I think it was one of the first times in my entire life that I was early to something.
The Cotillion was beach-themed. Pretty ironic, considering it was only 40 degrees outside yesterday.
After a few minutes others started to arrive and more photos were taken. Everyone looked so good!

Once the dance really got started there were no more photos, just lots and lots of dancing.
Katie and I aren’t great dancers, so it took us a while to get into it, but by the end of the night we were knee bobbing, booty shaking, and even fist pumping with the best of them. So much fun! I forgot how much I love to dance.
At the end of the night (11PM) my Mom was assigned pick up duty. She was there right on time, but Katie and I had a little plan up our sleeves so we didn’t end up leaving until 15 minutes later. Kelly had been talking all night about how she really wanted to dance with this guy, so we told him about her and it turned out he wanted to dance with her too! So while everyone was leaving I conveniently “forgot” my jacket and we walked right by him. He gave us all hugs and made sure Kelly’s hug was extra long. Cute, right?
Definitely a great end to an awesome night. I love my crazy friends.
